“It is the life of the crystal, the architect of the flake, the fire of the frost, the soul of the sunbeam. This crisp winter air is full of it.” John Burroughs
We are well inside the caves of winter on this wondrous day.
Today, as we adventure mindfully out on our
walk, we open to the possibilities for magic and awe.
Allow your heart’s creativity to affect your perceptions.
Today’s adventure will take us on an imaginative journey, out,
and back again.
Ideally, as you walk this week, setting out with your practice to connect with nature;
you may infuse some of this imaginative time into your wakeful reality, and see how that feels.
All creations begin in the heart and mind and slowly make their way into the physical worlds we inhabit.
Our breath leads us out of the mind’s anxieties into places where we can find what we seek.
These may be peace, or inspiration, relaxation or guided answers.
All of it is available, once we clear
the mind’s busy cobwebs.
Now lets get to imagining, shall we?
“Let there be room left in your heart for the unimaginable ~ serendipity has a way of showing itself just when you feel like giving up.”
― Nikki Row
This meditation provides a doorway in winter. As you walk this week, settle into your stride, your breath, your mantra, your heart and body, see how the outside world lights up.
As a breathing mantra, you might like to ground yourself with Light and UP.
The words have luminous feeling to them.
For your photography prompt: You might have guessed it. See if you can capture frost!
All of it’s highlit natural beauty is prevalent this time of year in most parts of our wintery planet.
--For any willing writers, the journaling prompt for the week is:
In the deep folds of winter, what are the lights that keep your spirits up? Human, animal, or natural? What rituals keep you above the dark days and balanced in yourself?
Have fun exploring, stay Curious, and please enjoy your mindful time walking and taking photographs outside in nature.
