“Each New Year, we have before us a brand new book containing 365 blank pages. Let us fill them with all the forgotten things from last year--the words we forgot to say, the love we forgot to show, and the charity we forgot to offer.” - Peggy Horton
Traditionally the New Year offers a chance for resolutions; things we want to change about ourselves. But what if we simply enhance what has been working for us?
In this New Year’s meditation we will take what has worked, spend a bit of time with those and create wishes to align them with the year to come.
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow.” - Albert Einstein
Happy New Year to You!
May all your wishes come true, in the New Year, and all its days through.
As you practice walking, meditating and exploring in nature this year, stay curious, as you allow the natural world to surprise you. Thank you for listening.

As the year winds down, we can clear the cobwebs and reflect on what has passed.
In this meditation, we will focus on the qualities of simplicity and peace.
There are many reasons why Black and white photography is often the style considered fine art.
There is a mixture of complexity in tone, light, and texture. The absence of color yields an elegant simplicity. Lines take on a brushstroke quality to draw the eye one way or the other.

More Notes on the Om Shanti Mantra
Om Shanti’ is the basic version of the Shanti mantra or Peace Prayer.
You can repeat Om Shanti 3x or try Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
Why is it repeated three times?
1st: Purification of the body, mind, and spirit
2nd: Releasing the mind of stress and worry. Bringing peace to the mind.
3rd: This reaches to the soul to connect and heighten the experience of the person.
This mantra can renew the body, mind, and spirit and is an excellent beginning to a meditation session.
Taking in a deep breath, you can say Om Shanti Shanti Shanti before releasing the breath.
Benefits include psychological peace. Improving the bodily functions. Creates calm and peaceful energy. By repeating this mantra, it keeps the meditator from slipping into sleep.
